BIM Coordinator

Location: San Francisco, CA

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt, In-Person

Salary Range: $80,000 – $120,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Coordinator to support our project teams in the effective execution of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes. This is a full-time, exempt role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, task-driven environment and is passionate about digital design and model coordination. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, a clear communicator, and a proactive problem-solver.

As a BIM Coordinator, you will play a key role in maintaining model integrity, ensuring interdisciplinary coordination, and enforcing BIM standards throughout the project lifecycle. You will report to the Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, and/or Associate and work closely with design and engineering teams to drive project success through efficient BIM workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project teams with BIM implementation across all project phases.

  • Build and maintain 3D models that ensure alignment with project requirements and design intent, and maintain model

    integrity.

  • Perform clash detection and model reviews to ensure accuracy and coordination.

  • Deliver tasks in a structured, milestone-driven workflow and check in regularly for feedback and next steps.

  • Understand the overall scope of the project and coordinate across disciplines.

  • Assist with documentation, template development, and other BIM-related initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of BIM processes, model management, and coordination.

  • Proficiency in Revit and other BIM-related tools (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM 360).

  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Revit Certified Professional is desired but not required. 

  • 2-5 years of experience in BIM coordination or a related AEC role.
